The Shamanic Journey: Exploring Spirit Worlds — For Healing Practitioners
October 14-15, October 22, November 5 via Zoom
The spiritual aspects of psychological and physical suffering are widely known—healing is for the soul as well as the mind and body.
This version of the course features shamanic methods to empower clients for healing; working with spirit helpers to support your own process; case studies of clinical application of shamanic principles; ethical and safety issues; and concrete ways to enhance your practice.
Social workers and others may be eligible for 12 contact hours of continuing education credits.

Bridging the Worlds: Spirits of Place and Shamanic Healing
Fall of 2023, dates to be arranged.
Join us for our sixth year of these intermediate level shamanic trainings.
Learn age-old shamanic healing practices like soul retrieval. Work with spirits of nature for power and knowledge. Our sessions will be interactive and in-person, not prerecorded. We'll connect using Zoom, and you'll be doing journeying indoors where you are; you'll also be going outside of your home during class time, doing spirit work in your own surroundings.
Participants will need at least a working relationship with a power animal and ability to journey shamanically.
- You'll learn to work with spirits in the Middle World and the Upper and Lower Worlds with a deepened practice.
- In your own locality you'll encounter spirits of place, meeting rocks, seeking lessons from trees, and asking to merge with ancient hills to form alliances, receive knowledge, and take in healing. You'll explore right relationship with the powers of weather spirits in this time of global warming.
- Learning spiritual diagnosis and healing techniques, you can restore power loss and remove spiritual intrusions.
- Soul retrieval helps people reintegrate parts of themselves that have become separated, and places in need to become re-inspirited and healed.
- Psychopomp work helps human souls that have passed on but gotten lost on the way to go on to the light.

The Birthday of the Trees
January 22 & 23, 2022 (Saturday & Sunday) 9:30am-2:30pm

No shamanic experience required.
At this time of winter’s deepest cold and dark, a spark of life is stirring in the roots of trees, though growth hasn’t yet begun. Trees can teach us about this hidden “inkling” that precedes all creating, showing us how our own inner spark can grow and flourish. An ancient Judaic holiday falls at this time—Tu b’Shevat, the birthday of trees—with kabbalistic traditions we can all access. In experiential form you will explore the four levels of the universe using the breath, encounter the guardian spirit of a tree, breathe along with a tree’s respiration, encounter a tree in spirit form to ask for knowledge, form ongoing relationships with tree spirit helpers, and envision next steps for ourselves and the world.
Our classes are small, with personalized attention. We’ll all interact using Zoom conferencing. You’ll also be going outdoors in your backyard for experiential connections with trees.
Tree Spirits as Teachers

Using shamanic practices and guided visualization, we’ll explore the spiritual life of trees. You’ll become aware of the “pulse” of life in trees by communing with an actual tree, breathing along with its pace of respiration and listening for its messages. You’ll then encounter the guardian spirit of a tree in shamanic reality. On the second day you’ll journey to explore the World Tree where the universes are located, experiencing its flow of life directly by tuning into a tree’s consciousness.
Our classes are small, with personalized attention. You’ll be able to see and interact with each other and us using Zoom conferencing.
As a prerequisite, you should have a working relationship with a power animal and ability to journey shamanically, either through our course in The Shamanic Journey or through equivalent experience elsewhere.
Plant Spirit Wisdom

Using shamanic practices, and with the help of nature spirits, you'll journey to meet a teacher from your own heritage as a guide for plant-spirit work. You’ll have the opportunity to go outdoors to an actual plant and sit with it, listening and exchanging breath, respectfully attuning your inner ear to its rhythms and voice. You’ll then journey to the Upper or Lower World to connect to the spirit guide of this plant. You can expect to come away with a deeper awareness of your place in the community of people, plants, and spirit, and a refreshed soul.
Our classes are small, with personalized attention. You’ll be able to see and interact with each other and us using Zoom conferencing.
As a prerequisite, you should have a working relationship with a power animal and ability to journey shamanically, either through our course in The Shamanic Journey or through equivalent experience elsewhere.
